Expo Arte Contemporanea in Armenia – Settembre/Ottobre 2018

(ANSA) – ROMA, 15 FEB – Sarà la prima Esposizione internazionale d’arte contemporanea in Armenia, a cui parteciperanno tanti artisti internazionali e si svolgerà nelle sedi più prestigiose di Yerevan, come il Teatro Nazionale Accademico dell’Opera e del Balletto di Alexander Spendiaryan, il Centro delle Arti Cafesjian, l’Unione degli Artisti Armeni, dal 25 settembre al 25 ottobre. L’evento della “Fondazione Arte Contemporanea” ha il patrocinio del ministero della Cultura armeno e del ministero dei Beni e delle Attività Culturali e del Turismo italiano, oltre  al supporto del ministero degli Esteri armeno. Alla conferenza stampa di presentazione svoltasi a Yerevan sono intervenuti il ministro della Cultura Armeno, Armen Amiryan, il viceministro degli Affari Esteri Armeno, Robert Harutyunyan, l’ambasciatore della Repubblica Italiana in Armenia, Giovanni Ricciulli, il direttore della Fondazione d’Arte Contemporanea, Stefano Apuzzo.Tra i presenti anche Alberto Cagliostro, co-fondatore di Shaula International LLC, a cui lavorano soci italiani (l’altro è Fabio Lenzi) che si occupa di internazionalizzazione e investimenti in Armenia e che ha collaborato attivamente alla realizzazione della mostra. Infine, presenti anche la curatrice della Galleria Nazionale Armena, Marina Hakobyan, che si è occupata dell’esposizione assieme all’altro curatore Giorgio Gregorio Grasso, presidente della Fondazione Arte Contemporanea.
Il viceministro ha ricordato che la concomitanza con la settimana della Francofonia, che si terrà in Armenia a inizio ottobre, porterà a Yerevan molti visitatori.

For the first time in Armenia, by the initiative of the Italian “Fondazione Arte Contemporanea” and under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of Armenia and of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and of Tourism of Italy, and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, on September 25 in Armenia will inaugurate the International Contemporary Art Exhibition: Armenia 2018, which welcomes artists from all over the world to participate.

At the Press Conference on the 14th of February 2018 in Yerevan that will announce the Event there will be the Minister of Culture of Armenia, Armen Amiryan, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Robert Harutyunyan, the Italian Ambassador to Armenia, Giovanni Ricciulli, the Director General of Fondazione Arte Contemporanea, Stefano Apuzzo, co-founder of Shaula International LLC, Alberto Cagliostro and the Armenian Curator Marina Hakobyan.

The Exhibition will be showcased in different parts of Yerevan’s major cultural centers such as National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after Alexander Spendiaryan, Cafesjian Center for the Arts, Armenian Artists’ Union and others.

The wide-ranging program includes all types of arts: painting, unique graphics, different forms of engraving, lithography, sculpture, as well as unique examples of decorative and applied arts, artistic photography, conceptual art, etc. The exhibition will be accompanied by various cultural events and followed by a publication of an illustrated album catalog.

The conceptual basis of the exhibition is the ideological diversity and contrast of different cultures and different cultural thinking.

The program, which will contribute to the improvement of friendly relations between Armenia and Italy, will raise the awareness of Contemporary World Art in Armenia and promote the recognition of Armenia’s history and culture in a number of countries around the world.

The project is implemented jointly with “Shaula International” LLC, which is a consulting and management firm based in Armenia. Its main mission is to promote Armenia as an attractive investment destination fostering cultural and economic exchanges between Europe and Armenia.

 The Application will officially open on 1st of March 2018 and will close on 31st of April 2018.

The curators of the Exhibition are Giorgio Gregorio Grasso, President of Fondazione Arte Contemporanea and Marina Hakobyan, curator at the National Gallery of Armenia.
