Second Official meeting in Armenia to discuss the “International Contemporary Art Exhibition: Armenia 2018”
The International Contemporary Art Exhibition’s opening in Yerevan on September 2018 and closing in Gyumri a month later
Today Mr. Armen Amiryan, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Stefano Apuzzo, the General Director of the Fondazione Arte Contemporanea and Mr. Fabio Lenzi, the CEO of Shaula International consulting company have discussed the current organizational issues of the upcoming International Contemporary Art Exhibition that will be opened in Yerevan on September 25, 2018 and will be closed a month later in Gyumri.
This was the second discussion of the Minister with the Italian partners after signing the Memorandum on organization of exhibition with the participation of Armenian and foreign artists. During the discussion the exhibition venues were confirmed for Yerevan, where each continent will have a dedicated venue and space for display of the artwork. The closing event taking place in Gyumri will be held at the Black Fortress.
According to the Memorandum the International Contemporary Art Exhibition will expose artworks in following categories: painting, installation, sculpture, photography, and carpets. During the period of the exhibition various performance should be organised as well.
During his visit to Yerevan, Mr. Apuzzo had the opportunity to meet as well the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of RA, Mr. Robert Harutyunyan, that has shown his support and cooperation for this one of a kind event for the Country. As well Mr. Apuzzo and Mr. Lenzi had the opportunity to visit several different artistic locations in Yerevan and have met with several directors of the main Contemporary Art Galleries.
